The Early Years (1961-1965)

The Fantastic Four were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961. The team's original lineup consisted of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm. The four astronauts were exposed to cosmic rays during a space mission, and the radiation gave them superpowers. Reed Richards became Mr. Fantastic, with the ability to stretch his body in any way he wanted. Sue Storm became the Invisible Woman, with the ability to turn invisible and create force fields. Johnny Storm became the Human Torch, with the ability to fly and shoot fireballs. Ben Grimm became the Thing, a rocky monster with superhuman strength.

The Fantastic Four quickly became one of the most popular superhero teams in the world. Their adventures were full of action, humor, and heart.
