The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Robert Lee "Reaper" Johnson, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Trey "Reaper" Carter, bass guitarist and backing vocalist Jake "Reaper" Evans, and drummer and backing vocalist Matt "Reaper" Wilson.
The band's name is a reference to the Confederate States of America, which was also known as the "Dixie Confederacy." The Reapers have said that they chose the name because they wanted to "represent the South" and its "rebellious spirit."
